About Us

 Welcome to my online portfolio and reel. My name is Patrick J Worcester and I am currently the Creative Director for the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies in Arlington, Virginia.  In addition to my role at Potomac Institute, I am also a freelance artist/producer/animator who operates under the heading of Control Z Media. 

For the past decade I have provided broad-based multimedia products, custom-tailored, to meet the needs of an extensive array of Military, Government, Corporate, and University clientele. Through Control Z Media, I excel at delivering creative print and video-based marketing and/or training materials to the general public, and I specialize in articulating complex Science & Technology (S&T) research initiatives to those with, and more importantly, to those without science-related backgrounds.

Control Z Media sprang from my imagination in 2000.  Early in my career, I realized that creative collaboration is an extremely subjective concept, and the difference in opinions concerning what is “good” as it relates to creative design are as varied and divergent as individual personalities.  Because most of my clients and/or sponsors rarely know what they want at the outset of a project, and because they all know exactly what they don’t want when they see it, the Ctrl+z (undo) hotkey quickly became one of the most useful keyboard commands in my toolbox.
